Alongside my Olympic campaign, I am part of the Swiss SailGP team, the Explora Journeys Swiss SailGP Team.
What is SailGP?
SailGP is the fastest international sailing championship in the world. National teams race identical F50 catamarans that fly above the water on their foils at close to 100 km/h. Races take place close to the shore, in iconic venues around the world, over a season of several Grands Prix.
My role on board
Within the crew, I am the strategist. My job is to read the racecourse, anticipate wind shifts, track our opponents’ positions and help the driver make the right tactical calls, all within seconds and at full speed.
My experience in the ILCA, where I am alone on board and every tactical decision counts, is a real asset in this role. And the other way round, the speed and intensity of the F50 sharpen my race reading for my Olympic goals.
